There is a healthy boost in tourism figures and new Tourism Minister, the Honorable Richard Sealy is recently appointed. Stay tuned for the opening of the Four Seasons and the luxurious Apes Hill Club. The Morgan Lewis Sugar Windmill has recently re-opened under the sponsorship of the Barbados National Trust, after being closed since 1946. |

| With the launch of the 2008 Barbados Zagat guide came a range of sites new to the scene including Harrisons Cave, which re-opened after a one year renovation plan. Additionally, the Jewish Synagogue museum was unveiled along with Arlington House Museum, the National Heroes Gallery and the re-opening of the most popular late night eatery, Oistins’ Fish Fry. This newsletter started the year off on the right note–literally!–with a recap of the exciting 2008 Barbados Jazz Festival. |

Focused on new property updates in Barbados including the Four Seasons and Banyan Tree resorts along with an upwards trend in private villa experiences. The 2008 AAA Hotel Guidebook gave Barbados the stamp of approval and Cobblers Cove honored its staff on their excellent client services. The 2008 Barbados Zagat guide was released and the launch of a dedicated Barbados’ wedding & honeymoon website, www.idobarbados.com lead to a special ’I Do Breakfast’ in New York. |

This end-of-summer round-up focused on a collection of historical attractions in Barbados including the opening of the Nidhe Israel Synagogue Museum, George Washington House, St Nicholas Abbey and the Concorde Experience. An overview of Barbados culinary and jazz events in core regional markets proved popular. This issue introduced New York based Mr. Richard Williams, Vice President of Marketing, The America’s, Barbados Tourism Authority and gave a warm welcome announcing his post. |
